| a Z06 with a non-Z06 FRC. I meant modding a normal targa roofed coupe. The FRC's are ugly IMO. If you like/want a FRC then 2 grand be damned, Z06 is the obvious choice. To me the issue with modern Corvettes (C5 and up) is the fact that because such a high % of the Corvette customer base is middle-aged to retiree aged, that there is a large number of them equipped to be putted around town and to and from the office by old men and little old ladies. Non-performance brakes, the softest suspension available, automatic transmissions, etc etc. I imagine it requires some extra research to make sure you get what you want when you buy a used one, there were so many options when new. Z06 is easy, you know what you are getting.
